As a Major Orthopaedic Scrub, you will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures related to lower limb orthopaedics, focusing on hip and knee surgeries. Your role will involve preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assisting the surgical team throughout the procedure.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of orthopaedic procedures and protocols. You must be detail-oriented, able to work efficiently under pressure, and possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the surgical team.

Requirements:
• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with valid registration.
• Recognised Surgical First Assistant qualification.
• Experience working in theatres as a Surgical First Assistant.
• Strong understanding of perioperative care and theatre protocols.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
