We are in search for a skilled and confident Band 5 ITU Nurse to cover ad hoc shifts in the Reading area:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients, including those with multi-organ failure, respiratory issues, or undergoing Intensive monitoring and treatment.
- Monitor and manage vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and respiratory function, using advanced equipment and technology.
- Administer intravenous medications, blood products, and fluids in accordance with prescribed protocols.
- Assist in the management of ventilators, infusion pumps, and other life-sustaining equipment.
- Perform advanced nursing interventions, including venipuncture, central line insertion, and catheterization.
- Assist in the care of patients undergoing invasive procedures or surgeries in the ITU setting.
- Respond promptly to clinical emergencies, using clinical judgment and knowledge to manage situations effectively.
- Participate in handovers, ward rounds, and team meetings to share important patient information and contribute to care planning.

- Hold a valid NMC pin
- Have at least six months UK Hospital experience,
- Provide a current, in-date DBS certificate registered with the update service
